At the cutting room table: designing white

An all-white palette creates harmonious balance in a living, bedroom or bathroom space. To create interest within this restricted palette we mix contrasting textures, tones of white and all white patterns for a subtle styling statement.

Texture in white.

The Freemont bed design provides a perfect base to layer all white textures. We love mixing our all white textured weave beds, like Freemont with the modern all white texture of the Windermere cushion and throw. Pair this bedroom styling combination with the warmth of wooden floorboards and leafy, architectural plants for a calming bedroom space, year-round.

We love using warm textural whites together with cleaner whites for a tranquil yet cosy effect.

Tinted whites.

Remember to blend tinted whites into the one space to avoid a stark, clinical feel. We love using warm textural whites together with cleaner whites for a tranquil yet cosy effect.

Try pairing our statement Westbay Throw back with the mingled yarn of the Earley Cushion in Dove on our Ekard Quilt Cover. The flax in the border will tie in perfectly with the warm whites.

Patterned whites.

The Herschel bed uses a Matelassé weave technique to create pattern within an all-white bed. The oversized geometric design is woven into the surface of the weave.

We love this design mixed with soft yet raw linen textures of the Westall throw back and subtle embroidery details of the Arkley cushion. Combining the ‘rough luxe’ texture of linen with the raised surface texture of a Matelassé creates an unexpected and fresh combination.
