Introducing our SS17 art beds
From the creation of our company in 1967 by visionary, Claudio Alcorso, Sheridan has a rich and celebrated history with artists and creatives. Each season, our iconic art beds carry on this tradition by bringing beautiful art into the bedroom.
Travelling to all corners of the country, our in house artists gather inspiration and experiment with new styles and interpretations. Using techniques from water colour painting to collage, our prints show incredible detail of every brush stroke, texture and fine line drawn. Hand painted in the Sydney Sheridan Studio, this season our art beds have a distinctly abstract and painterly feel.
Inspired by the lush landscape where the Southern Highlands meets the South Coast of NSW, the Allbury design has a fresh, feminine feel. Featuring hints of blue gum, a key colour trend for SS17, our artists played with layered textures under hand painted foliage and graphite line drawings. Printed onto 100% cotton sateen, the Allbury creates a visual impact in the bedroom.
The Luno art bed is for the bold minimalist. This abstract, hand painted design plays with proportion by contrasting the large scale face against the small scale geometric print on reverse. This uplifting print is ideal for anyone looking to introduce a hint of colour into their monochromatic bedroom.
Printed onto ultra soft cotton sateen, the Minka design was inspired by rich foliage found on the South coast of NSW. Crafted using watercolour paints in moody shades of indigo, the grid-like layout has a modern yet traditional feel. It’s a versatile choice for styling in any space.
Featuring vivid brush strokes and a playful composition, the Doorson bed is both dynamic and energetic. This bedding is all about layered colours and quick, directional strokes to create the illusion of texture. Fully reversible, the Doorson can be styled in two ways to suit your mood.
