Colour Crush: Raisin

It’s been widely predicted that 2025’s colour palette will be the year of the warm, grounded neutrals. The colour gurus at Dulux predict that “rich burgundies and wine hues” will dominate our home interiors this year, with Elle Decor jumping on the train to predict the rise of eggplant purple and dusty red. Indeed, things are looking warm, spiced and oh-so cosy for this year’s trending colours.

Enter: raisin. No, not the fruit, the colour. Our in-house design team are also firmly on board with these predictions, with much of our Autumn Winter ‘25 collection underpinned by this toasty hue. Think tones of calming brown, brick red, maroon, a touch of purple — raisin really does contain multitudes. A colour that can be appreciated by lovers of colourful and neutral interiors alike, raisin is available in our Abbotson Linen collection, for all your bedroom styling needs. Here are a few of our favourite ways to style this shade of the season.

This look is a total bed takeover. Raisin sheets, quilt cover, pillowcases and yes, even a bed cover. Because what better way to celebrate your new favourite colour than with a monochromatic look like this?

We’re keeping the styling quite classic here, making sure to mix up our textures to create variation in our layers. The quilted finish on the bed cover and shams helps to keep this look engaging, allowing each layer to pop rather than blending in.

For a modern touch, try styling your pillows asymmetrically. Whether it’s one European pillow over to the side or bringing one to the front and the other stacked at the back, you can have fun playing around with size and shape.

This second look is for our more minimalist stylists. We’re keeping our pillows to a minimum and opting for a bed cover instead of a quilt hereit's all about creating smooth, clean lines. On trend for 2025, this low-profile look has a sort of Scandi-inspired coolness to it.

When styling a less-is-more look like this, it’s important to focus on quality pieces like our Abbotson Linen collection. Crafted from quality Belgian flax linen, this look really shows off the details in the tailoring, as well as that natural linen texture we love.

Look #3

For this look, we’re taking inspiration from throughout the Abbotson Linen family. Each core shade of Abbotson Linen is designed to style back with the rest of the collection – including seasonal shades like raisin. This makes it easy to build your dream Abbotson wardrobe over multiple seasons, rather than investing in a full bed’s worth of new linen at one time.

We’ve created this look with a combination of Abbotson Ticking Stripe in carbon, Abbotson Linen in flax, raisin and just a touch of carbon. The result is a beautifully layered bed that doesn’t feel overwhelming. The ticking stripe brings an exciting pop of pattern, and the neutrals like flax and carbon allow our raisin quilt cover to shine.
