What's Your Signature Scent? Meet Our New Candles

The collection was curated in-house at our Sydney Design Studio, by the same team behind our hand-drawn prints. To bring each fragrance to life, we collaborated with Sydney-based Scentsmith Ainslie Walker, who understands just how powerful the right scent can be. "Our sense of smell is linked directly to the oldest part of our brain, and so it instantly triggers memory and emotion," says Ainslie.

Rather than starting with ingredients, Ainslie began with Sheridan itself. "It started with a deep dive into [Sheridan's] history and products ... and what Sheridan really means in the home," Ainslie explains. "Sheridan creates purposeful, quality products for the home, and the fragrances needed to enhance that."

The result is a collection designed to be lived with, with scents suited to busy living rooms and kitchens, calm bedrooms, guest rooms and bathrooms, everyday moments and gatherings.

Each of the seven signature scents captures a different chapter of who we are, from our heritage in beautiful bedlinen to the quiet ritual of rest. Some are fresh and familiar, like Linen, which is inspired by crisp, freshly laundered sheets. "Linen scents bring a sense of nostalgia and cleanliness," says Ainslie. "They don't shout, yet they freshen a space and feel inclusive."

Then there's Corso, named after our founder, Claudio Alcorso. Blending Italian leather with Australian sandalwood, it tells the story of Claudio's journey from Italy to Australia. It's a nod to the hard work and determination that shaped Sheridan's future, and to his vision to introduce creativity and beauty into the everyday things in life.

Alongside the signature collection are three limited edition scents. For our first round of limited edition scents, we're paying homage to Australian summer. Each candle is celebrating a different part of the summer season, from long lazy days to warm evenings spent gathered around the table. They're here for the season only, so they won't stay long.

They're also made for mixing. "We're seeing people layer different scents throughout the home," says Ainslie, "something in the hallway, something else in the bathroom." She's noticed whole families getting involved too, choosing together the scent they'll wind down or share a meal with. "Fragrance is fun and inclusive!"

We've always believed the home you love is built in layers, and scent is the final one. "It's the invisible accessory to the home and to yourself," says Ainslie. Whether you build a little wardrobe of candles to choose from each evening or find the one that feels like you, there's a scent here for every room.
